Hi Amit
Thank you for posting your question here!

Common Admission Test or CAT is considered to be one of the most difficult tests in the country. CAT has to be cleared if you want to get into the IIMs or some of the other prestigious business schools in India. If you are among one of the thousands of CAT aspirants, getting your hands on a proper CAT training book or manual is absolutely essential. There is no stability as far as the test pattern for CAT questionnaire is concerned and it is important that you know what you are getting into.

As CAT focuses on streams such as Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Math Problems, Reading Comprehension and many others, your book will have to deal with the all these aspects in general. There is negative marking and your strike rate to pass CAT will have to be somewhere above 85%. With the time you have in hand, that is a very high percentage.

BOOKS FOR CAT TEST PREPARATION :

1. Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension

To crack CAT the basic knowledge of verbal is very necessary that basic knowledge of verbal ability a aspirant can grasp from this book.

2.Data Interpretation:
The Data Interpretation section consists of graphs, charts, tables etc. for calculating data. Though some questions need calculations, others can be solved just mentally without calculation. You need to increase the speed of your mental calculations and that can be achieved only by practice.

3.Quantitative Aptitude:

The ‘Quant’ section basically tests your numerical ability and mathematical skills. The section covers Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry and questions predominantly belong to what is taught to students up to the tenth standard.

These books for the different sections are the best and will help you in your preparation.

Good luck
