Hi
The syllabus of Common admission test CAT is broadly divided into two main sections.
First the quantitative section and the other is reading and verbal section. The first part is mathematics while the other part is complete basic English. Therefore in order to get a well mannered precise books and material, you should order any of the coaching institutes material which can provide you 100% cut to cut topics that are required in the syllabus. The coaching which offers the complete material for cat are-

CAT Exam Details:-

Of all the exams which can be given to pursue Masters in Business Administration, CAT is the most popular of them all. The full form of CAT is Common Admission Test and its conducted by the IIMs-the premier institutions for studying MBA. Its a tough nut to crack no doubt.

CAT scores apart from IIMs are also accepted by other autonomous institutions. So apart from IIMs you might get a chance to opt for other popular MBA institutions as well if you manage to score good marks in CAT.

CAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:-
  • If you wish to give CAT exam you need to be a graduate first. You need to secure minimum 50% of marks in aggregate.
  • There is some percentage relaxation for SC/ST Candidates. For SC/ST candidates the percentage to secure is 45% of marks.
  • Final year students about to sit for the final year exam or awaiting the result of their final exam can also sit for this exam.
  • There is no restriction on age criteria or on the number of permissible attempts. That means you can sit for this exam whenever you want to and you can give this exam for as many times you want.

There are three stages of selection to get through to finally get selected. They are as follows:
  • Written Examination
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview

Objective questions which are mainly conceptual will come. There is no specific exam pattern to follow as such as it keeps changing from one year to the other. So you need to understand them deeply and get a grip over it.

For every wrong answer you give a certain percentage of marks will be deducted from the original score. The whole paper needs to be completed in two and a half hours' time and be very cautious when answering each of them.

Areas of Weightage:
  1. Verbal Ability
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. Logical Reasoning
  4. Reading Comprehension
  5. Problem Solving and Data Interpretation

Hope this helps :-> :->
