Sorry, but for your kind information you can not appear in GATE after completing BSc. For appearing in GATE you need to do MSc.

GATE eligibility criteria is as follows:

Candidates holding a master degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes are only eligible to appear in GATE.

but as you are B.Sc (Physics) candidate so you are not eligiable for the GATE exam.

only master MSC students are eligiable for the GATE exam.

GATE eligibility criteria is as follows:

Candidates holding a master degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes are only eligible to appear in GATE.

For pursuing M.Tech from any of the IITs or NITs, you need to score much in the GATE examination. GATE examination is held every February. For appearing in GATE, you need to be either a graduate in B.E. or B.Tech. or any technological field of equivalent degree. You can also appear in GATE if you are in the final year of your degree course for the same degrees mentioned earlier. Since, M.Tech in IIT Delhi is the most-sought after college, you need to score above 95 percetile in GATE examinations. This percentile can vary also.
