my suggestion is the study material from GK publications ies civil engineering....is best...it contains all the previous year question papers and simplified notes which covers the ies syllabus.........

preparation tips:

first you should have very clear knowledge about the syllabus.
then initially concentrate non structural units.....so that you have direct questions you can answer easily.
after that go for units that you studied well during your academic year...
then go for structural units........study well the units you feel quite easy.
at last cover the rest of the syllabus....don't put more effort....
avoid last minute preparation....
revise the syllabus for one month before the exam.......

ies papers by arun sharma are good for ies it's available in kolkata ......better study at home for ies and concentrate in subjective type answers

IES is nt for cs/it students.
Its only for core branches like ee,me, ce etc.

i think you are not elegible for this exam if you are writing it as an computer science subject,
you can write the exam by preparing in any one of the subject like eee,civil,mech or electronics ,
it will be tough for you,but if you are really interested then there is nothing wrong in trying

Linear constant coefficient differential equations; time domain analysis of simple RLC circuits, Solution of network equations using Laplace transform: frequency domain analysis of RLC circuits. 2-port network parameters: driving point and transfer functions. State equations for networks.
Electronic Devices: Energy bands in silicon, intrinsic and extrinsic silicon. Carrier transport in silicon: diffusion current, drift current, mobility, and resistivity. Generation and recombination of carriers. p-n junction diode, Zener diode, tunnel diode, BJT, JFET, MOS capacitor, MOSFET, LED, p-I-n and avalanche photo diode, Basics of LASERs. Device technology: integrated circuits fabrication process, oxidation, diffusion, ion implantation, photolithography, n-tub, p-tub and twintub CMOS process.
Analog Circuits: Small Signal Equivalent circuits of diodes, BJTs, MOSFETs and analog CMOS. Simple diode circuits, clipping, clamping, rectifier. Biasing and bias stability of transistor and FET amplifiers. Amplifiers: single-and multi-stage, differential and operational, feedback, and power. Frequency response of amplifiers.
