JMI entrance exam is carried out by the state of Jharkhand for the admission to both Medical and Engineering colleges in the state. Candidates can refer different books for PCM subjects. For Physics subject refer the CBSE PMT by Anil Aggarwal or the HC Verma. For maths candidates can refer to R. S. Aggarwal or S.L. Loni. The chemistry will be covered with the help of books from Arihant Organic Chemistry or NCERT.

you have not mentioned what test are you going to give.. i mean it is for admission in UG or in PG.. and of what course.. you just as you study for a general entrance test of any other university..all demands the same .. the knowledge of the subject in which you want to persue your PG/UG

Dear friend,

JMI entrance exam is conducted by Jamia Millia Islamia University for the selection of candidates for the admission in various courses related to Engineering field. Mostly JMI entrance exam is conducted in the month of April and may. JMI offers B.Tech course in the following streams:-

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Computer Science Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:-

1)- You should have completed 12th class from a recognized board.
2)- You should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th as compulsory subjects.
3)- You should have minimum 45% marks in 12th.
4)- Your age should not be less than 17 years.
5)- Your age should not be more than 23 years.

Exam Pattern:-

There are total 17 questions asked in this exam. All questions are objective type.
There are 55 questions from Physics.
There are 55 questions from Chemistry.
There are 60 questions from Mathematics.

Books to be referred:-

As all the questions asked in this exam will be of 12th standard. So, you should prepare whole of your syllabus of 11th and 12th class. You should refer NCERT books for each subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You can also refer R.D. Sharma for Mathematics and Arihant books. For Physics subject the best book is H.V. Verma. You should thoroughly read both parts of H.C. Verma.
