Dear Friend

CDS stands for the Combined defense services examinations.This examination is oragnised twice every year by the Union Public service commission.

Let me first tell you some important requirements for this exam in brief:

>>You must have bachelor's degree from a recognized university in order to become eligible for this examination.

This examination gives you chance to join the different academies of defense which are:

1.Indian military a cademy: age limit:19-24 years

2.Indian air force academy:age limit:19-23 years

3.Indian naval academy: age limit:19-22 years

4.Officer's training academy:age limit:19-25 years.

For Air force ,naval academy,you must have physics and mathematics at 10+2 level.

>>You should be an Indian citizen.Both male and female candidates can apply for the examinations.

The date or registration for CDS 2 starts from 25/05/2013.You can apply at www.upsconline.nic.in.

Examination pattern:

Now coming to your query ,the best books for CDS exams are generally from arihant and upkar's publication.You need to emphasize on previous year papers also.

For better preparation ,you may even join coaching classes also like Disha classes,Baalnoi academy etc.

Books To Prepare For CDS Exam

Combined Defence Services Exam is held in Feb and Sept for selection to the following :-

> Air Force Academy
> Officer's Training Academy
> Naval Academy
> Military Academy

The minimum requirements which all the applicants need to fulfill for appearing in this exam are :-

> The applicant should be a graduate from a recognized institution (Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects for Air Force and NAvy)

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conduct UPSC twice in a year.

i.e, CDS-I and CDS-II

ELIGIBILITY:

You should be citizen of india.

You should complete the Graduation from any recognized university.

No percentage required for this exam.

PCM subjects required for the Navy and Indian Air force.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Female candidates are not eligible.
