CDS has three sections
1.Mathematics- refer rs aggrawal,airhat publications
2.current affairs study current news papers

Books To Prepare For CDS Examination

The minimum requirements for appearing in the Combined Defence Services are :-

1) You should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University..

2) There is no constraint on the graduation percentage..

3) The age restriction applicable for various branches are :-

(i) Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years
(ii) Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years
(iii) Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years
(iv) Officer's Training Academy - 19 to 25 years..

There are 3 papers to be cleared in the written examination :-

>> Mathematics
>> English

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conducts Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination for recruitment of various vacancies under Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.

UPSC CDS is a competitive examination that comprises of : Written exams, interview for intelligence and personality test.


Age limit

Indian Military Academy : 19 to 24 Years

Air Force Academy : 19 to 23 Years

Naval Academy : 19 to 22 Years

Officers’ Training Academy :19 to 25 Years.


Education Qualification

Officers Training Academy & Indian Military Academy : Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university in India.

Naval Academy : A Degree in Engineering OR Graduation with Physics and Maths as Subjects

For Air Force Academy: Degree in any Discipline with (Phy & Maths) as Subjects in (10 + 2) level OR Degree in Engineering.
