Primarily be thorough with NCERT textbooks, its each and every concepts and then look for other books.....
H C VERMA is good for Physics and Mathematics .......and i suggest NCERT the best for Chemistry..... |

TANDON 3) for practice papers:- ARIHANT FOR PHYSICS:- series of H.C.VERMA(1 and 2) NOOTAN is also a good choice (if you start from the basics) FOR MATHS:- M.L. AGARWAL is the best book for fresher's preparing for IIT TMH(tata mcraw hill) is also a good book (if your concepts are clear) |

Though there are many books available in the market ,Being an IITian i insist u to refer the following:
Physics: 1. Concepts of physics by H.C Verma vol 1& vol 2 2. Objective physics by Arihant 3. Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov Chemistry: 1.Organic& Inorganic: 1.According to me NCERT text book is the best book to be referred 2.Morrison boyd (for organic) 3.Concise inorganic chemistry by J.D. Lee(for inorganic) 2.Physical: It needs lot of practice so any book that contains lot of problems to solve is useful Mathematics: 1.IIT maths by M.L. Khanna (for algebra) 2.Thomas and finney (for geometry) and try to solve previous year model papers as many as possible .
