Which branches come under Microbiology? Names of the institutes offering the course?
Hi
I complete my B.Sc in Microbiology with Zoology & Chemistry combination. Now i want to do M.Sc in Microbiology. So, can you please guide me regarding the details of the branches which comes under Microbiology and the institutes offering these courses. Thanks & Regards G Jagruthi Penumaka |

One of the most common branches of microbiology is medical microbiology. Agricultural Microbiology and Environmental Microbiology are other branches of microbiology. Some other branches of microbiology include bacteriology, Mycology, Virology, Immunology, etc. Himachal Pradesh University, GB Pant University of Agriculture and technology, Kurukshetra University, Panjab University are some of the universities in Northern India offering M.Sc Microbiology. Sardar Patel University, University of Mumbai, Nagpur University, etc are some of the universities in western part of India. Osmania University, University of Madras, Karnataka University are some of the Universities in South India. Manipur University and Orissa University of Agriculture and technology are the universities offering M.Sc Microbiology in Eastern India.
