Dear Sir/Mam,

Iam Chaitanya currently pursuing M.Sc Microbiology final year.i wrote GATE
, and my rank was1490 with score 345 and my percentile was 85.7.

Could you please tell me the institutes that are offering PHD with my gate score, and also the institutes that are offering M.Tech in life sciences with my score?
Could you please tell me whether iam eligible for applying to NIT?

There are many institutes which offers phd through GATE score but IITs and NITs are the best institutions in India. These institutes are highly reputed so for getting into these institutes are quite tough.
As you have scored 345 rank, so there will be a chance for getting into any of the NITs but you might not get chance in any of the IITs.

Dear friend this is not possible you get a seat in NIT for PH.D on this rank........

500-600 rank all NIT seat is completely full that's why you can,t take admission in NIT.........

You try for next year and try for better rank in GATE.........

You must preparation from study material which is best for you...........

there are many institutes which take admission on the basis of gate score like-

Indian institute of technology,Delhi
which require 300 marks in gate for admission

Banaras hindu university also takes admission on the basis of GATE score

sorry but your score is less minimum cut off for nit is around 500 score
there are many universities that offer phd with your gate score as your gate is nice.......

List of colleges offering Ph.D through a GATE score card are following:-

Yes,you are eligible to apply in NIT .Please apply with GATE score card in any NITs.

NIT Trichy is India one of the top institutes that offer Master of Engineering degree admission in all engineering deciplines including, Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic, Mechanical and Civil. There are very specialized master degree courses in ever department. You can try applying in many courses in same department for Admission on a single application from.

Collecting GATE cutoff 2009 scores was a difficult task but finally with the help of combined counseling of NIT warngal, NIT Trichy and NIT Calicut made it possible to have a benchmark and a place from where we can guess the cut offs for other NITs. As these are top NITs and therefore I think the other cutoff for other NITs must be lesser than these.

If your scores are too low dont worry, it happens, dont give away the hope of going for higher studies. Another good option can be to try study abroad. For master degree admission many countries like Germany, France and New Zealand there either no tuition fee or you get good scholarship to cover it. Most of the universities have very good facility for MS in computer science, MS in Electrical and can help you acquire PhD scholarship easily. As there are good funding MS computer science admission is easy to get than other streams.
