presently i am doing final year bcom and in march i will complete my course. my next step is to do mba in ignou as correspondence. can i appear this openmat which is to be conducted in feb 2011. please reply to me at the earliest if i can; i should submit my application before dec 15, 2010 otherwise i will miss this opportunity.

OPENMAT is a pre-requisite condition to seek admission in various management programs offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Eligibility:
The candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in any field from a recognized institution with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Exemption of 5% is there for candidates belonging to reserved category.

There is no age bar for any of the courses.

Sorry but Final year candidates can not apply.

I Think B.com Final year appearing students are not Eligible to appear in the Open Mat examination which is conducted by IGNOU.

So, if you have a Bachelor's Degree in any field from a recognized institution with minimum 50% aggregate marks, then you are eligible for appear in IGNOU open Mat examination.

So, if you have Completed your B.com, then you are Eligible for appear in Open Mat exams. The appearing Candidates are Not Eligible.

It is sorry to say that you are not eligible for OPENMAT because as Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts this exam .So, their eligibility criteria is made by them.
The candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from a government recognized institution with minimum 50% marks.

So,as you have not got the degree therefore you are not eligible for the exam.

You are eligible for the OPENMAT entrance but only when you complete your Graduation, since the basic requirement for appearing the IGNOU's OPENMAT entrance is the graduation in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% in general category and 45% in reserved category.
So, complete your B.Com by March 2011 and then prepare for the next session of the OPENMAT entrance.
