Yes, you are eligible for Indian Foreign Services. Indian Foreign Services (Abbr: IFS) is not a separate exam. It comes under Civil Services examination which is conducted for various services like IAS, IPS, IFS and other allied services. The eligibility criteria for Civil services is as follow: Educational Qualification: You should have passed a graduation degree from any recognized university. Whatever your specialization of graduation is, you are eligible to appear civil services examination. Age: Age should be 21-30 years which may be further relaxed for 3 years for OBC and may be relaxed for 5 years for SC/ST candidates. No. of attempts. GENERAL category students are allowed to appear civil services exam 4 times whereas OBC has at most 7 no. of attempts. SC/ST candidates has no prohibition as per number of attempts. Sorry dear you can not appear for IFS exam. because for IFS The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering. |

No friend. Since you are a B.com graduate you can't apply for indian foriegn
service exam (IFS). Because only science graduate students that also only following course finishers can only become IFS officer. Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering. |

To apply for IFS Examination, Your age should between 21 to 30 years.
And you must have a bachelor’s degree of a recognised University with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, only then you are eligible to apply for IFS Examination. And the Online Applications can be filled upto - 18th April, 2011 And the last date for receipt of applications is- 25th April, 2011. So, if you are fullfill the eligiblity criteria, and interest to apply for this examination, then i will suggest you please apply soon, because the last date of apply for this exam was near, so please apply before 18th/April/2011. Hello friend,
For appearing into the IFS(Indian foreign services) you must have bachelor's degree in the field of Science and Agriculture. The age limit for the IFS is 21-30 years for a general candidate. there are 55 of relaxation for Sc/ST candidates. The application form for the IFS is issued and the last date for getting forms is 25th of April 2011. So i think you are not eligible for IFS as you have completed your graduation in Commerce field. |

yes,you can appear for IFS exam as you have already UG degree with B.COM.
it comes under the civil service exams and your age should in between 21 to 30 years to appear for this exam |

ELIGIBILITY FOR IFS : graduate with 55% marks from recognized college . age limit is 21-29 year. There is relation also in upper age limit : 3 years for OBC 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
