Re: B.Tech student is eligible to apply for Indian Foreign Service with Metallurgical Engineering subject?
Yes, you are certainly eligible to apply for IFS (Indian Foreign Service) Examination. This Indian Foreign Service Examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The basic educational qualification required is "Graduation" or "Bachelor Degree" from a recognized university. Since you have passed B.Tech, of course you can apply for IFS examination. The minimum age required for IFS Examination is 21 years, and the maximum age must not exceed 30 years. Yes, you can apply for IFS Examination having B.Tech in Metallurgy Engineering. The minimum educational qualification required for IFS (Indian Foreign Services) Examination is "Graduation" pass in any stream in 10+2+3 pattern. Since B.Tech (10+2+4) qualification is more than what is required, you are of course eligible to appear in IFS Examination conducted by UPSC.
