No You do not have eligibility for IES examination

Only engineers with

Electrical

Electronics

Mechanical

Civil

Have eligibility to attempt this examination

Same with the PSU too have the same eligibility criteria as mentioned above.

But you have chance to apply for

BSNL

DRDO and NTPC exams

For JTO preparation

no,you cannot attempt IES exam...

IES exam is offered for only four courses

=>electronics and telecommunication(also known as eletronics and communication)

=>electrical and electronics engineering

=>civil engineering

=>mechanical engineering

this exam is very difficult to crack...

B.Tech IT students can't attempt IES exam.

only four branch of engineering are eligiable for IES exam

1.ME.

2.ECE.

3.EE.

4.CIVIL.

other branch of engineering holders are not eligiable.

IES is eligible for given below department of engineering.

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Age Limits - 21 years to 30 years

your department is information and technology engineering so you are eligible for IES exam.
