BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental Science and being a BDS degree holder you are certainly eligible for government teacher job upto Class V only.

Further you will have to qualify CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test ) for your recruitment as teacher in Centrally Funded schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, etc. or State TET for your recruitment in state government schools.

Also to be eligible for becoming teacher of higher classes you will have to complete B.Ed degree course which is a professional degree course related to basics of teaching.

For more details and updates about CTET you can log on to the link www.ctet.nic.in where as for different State TET you can log on to their respective link.
