Can a candidate from 12th Class without Maths apply for NDA Exam?
About NDA
can a candidate who do not study maths in 12 can apply for this exam? |

Hai,
Yes 12th standard without maths is eligible to apply the NDA exam. NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. There are three wings in NDA: Indian army, Navy, Airforce. Eligibility criteria: 10+2 from a recognised state board of india. Candidate should be a citizen of india. Age should be 16.5years to 19years. Yes , he can apply for the NDA examination, conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC] every years for twice in a year. For appear in the NDA examination, you must have at least a 12th degree from a recognized board. But a candidate with out maths, can apply for only military branch of the Indian army.Because for apply in NAVAL & AIR FORCE , he must needs the subjects Maths & Physics with at least 60% in 12th [aggregate]. The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years,.. remarks that, there is not any kind of age limit relaxations criteria is applicable for the any reserved category. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA EXAM 1,Students who have passed 10+2 from recognized board OR Equivalent qualification are eligible for applying in NDA. BUT If you have done your 12th with compulsory subjects maths and physics than you are Eligible to apply in all the branches – NAVY,ARMY,AIR FORCE. OR If you have done your class 12th without physics and maths than you are eligible for ARMY only. 2, Students age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years. 3, unmarried male candidate are eligibile to apply . Selection Procedure The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages : • A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission. Subject Code Duration Max Marks Mathematics 01 2 1/2 hours 300 General Ability 02 2 1/2 hours 600 900 • An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ). • A medical examination by a Service Medical Board. Yes you can apply for the NDA examination if you dont have maths as one of the subjects .The NDA examination is conducted every year by UPSC.The examination is conducted twice a year .
Through NDA students are selected in : ARMY AIR FORCE NAVY The eligibility criteria for the ARMY and NAVY /AIR FORCE is different For ARMY : You must have passed your class 12th in any streams . Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years For NAVY/AIR FORCE You must have passed class 12th with physics ,maths and chemistry as a compulsory subjects . Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years It means that you can apply for the ARMY but not for the AIR FORCE and NAVY. You can apply for NDA (National
Defence Academy) Exam after Matriculation.NDA Exam is conducted to select candidates for any 1 of the 3 wings of defence forces: 1.Army 2.Navy 3.Air force NDA Exam is conducted 2 times a year by UPSC(Union Public service commission) NDA Eligibility Qualification's You should have passes 12th Standard exams or appearing in 12th with physics and maths. My son has taken Medical with maths in 11th class but wants to drop Maths now as it is proving very difficult. Can he drop it now and pursue only Medical Stream through 12th class. If he drops Maths, will he be required to take any other alternate subject now??Thanks.
