Re: Can a chemical engineer get placed in Marine?
You have not made yourself clear...are you talking of PG degree in Marine Engineering or are you referring to a marine-related career. Assuming that you are talking of M.E. in Marine Engineering, the eligibility for admission to M.E. degree program is B.E. Marine Engineering; so, there is no chance of your getting admission in the ME program (at least in India). Of course, this does not mean an end of your marine-related career aspirations as you can still hope to make a career in Merchant Navy as a Marine Engineer if you now join the Alternate Training Scheme (ATS) conducted by the Chennai School of Ship Management. Re: Can a chemical engineer get placed in Marine?
You mean to say that you want to get placed in Marine industry after you chemical engineering. Well yes chemical engineers are required in every field as they have to invent new facilities and instruments. Chemical engineer is also required to save the cost from going high by finding alternative ways in making certain chemical product.
In short chemical engineer will find its way anywhere and everywhere |

Quote:
I am sorry to say that you can not join Marine sector after passing B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. If you want you can join Indian Navy. otherwise there is no option for you. For joining Indian Navy you have to qualify the entrance exam known as Combined Defence Services. Age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year. You should be medically fit.
