I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for N.D.A though you pass the 12th with commerce stream.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying this exam you can start you career in defence sector like:-
>> Indian Army
>> Indian Air force
>> Indian Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with any subject from recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year
> Medically fit

There are 3 steps of selection:-
-Written exam.
-Interview
-medical exam.

Yeah shore you are eligible to join NDA(National Defence Academy), for this you can crack the NDA entrance exam which is conducted by the UPSC(UNION QUALIF SERVICE COMMISSION) twice in a year.



NDA has three wings:

Indian army,
Indian airforce,
Indian navy.

In these three wings you are eligible for only army because for airforce and navy science stream is must.



Eligibility criteria:


-->Candidate should be complete +2 from a recognised state board.

-->Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

-->Girls are not eligible for this exam

-->Candidate must be physically fit.

-->Candidate should be a citizen of india.

-->Age limits is 16.5 years to 19 years.


Selection procedure;

Written test,
SSB interview,
Medical test.

Important dates:

Date of commencement of notification :
05-05-2012 Last date for the receipt of completed
application forms : 04-06-2012 Date of NDA II Exam : 19-08-2012.

yes ,Commerce student can apply in National Defense Academy but he can apply in ARMY wing only.

For applying in NDA in ARMY wing you need to be less than 19 years old and you have done your 12 th from recognized board.


Selection Process includes

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages :

• A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission.
