sir,i've secured 66% in 12th cbse boards...bt m compartment in maths and chemistry(theory)...wat shud i do...can i attempt AIEEE and IIT-JEE nxt year...will i get a gud college..m interested in aeronautical stream...i'm realy in dilemma wat to do...plz help me..

Can I appear for AIEEE and IIT JEE if I have compartment in maths and chemistry? Will I get a good college? Any chance for Aeronautical Stream?

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE exam

• The candidate must have either passed or appearing in class 12th examination having physics, chemistry and maths necessary
• No any percentage criteria is mentioned in AIEEE eligiility criteria ut atleast 50% is necessary
• AGE- 17 to 25 years for general .There has been a proposal of age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and PD candidates .

Eligibility Criteria of IIT-JEE

• You must have either passed or appearing in class 12th or equivalent exam conducted by recognized board or univeristy with physics, chemistry and maths compulsory.
• You must have got at least 60% in your class 12th if you are a general/obc candidate and 55% if you are an SC/ST candidate.
  
• Age criteria- For IIT-JEE 2012 if you are a general candidate then your date should lie after or on 1st october 1987.
  
  If you are an SC/ST/PD candidate then your date should lie on or after 1st october 1982.

Since you have compartment ,you are not eligible now but if you can clear your compartment and score more than 60% aggregate then you will be eligible for Both exams .

I will suggest you to reappear in class 12th exam and try to get better marks this time because if you will take admission with compartment marks then if future you will face problem during campusing .

Its really sad to inform you that you are not eligible to attemp the iit jee or aieee unless you clear all the subjects of 12th.
The eligibility criteria of aieee n iit jee strictly defines that student cannot appear for this exam below 55% in aieee n 60% in iit jee with all subjects cleared in 12th.
So , i request you to not to dishearten and try harder to get good % in your exams!

Dear Friend,

First of all right now you are not eligible for the AIEEE and IIT-JEE examination as you have not clearly passed your class 12th examination.
To appear for the AIEEE examination you should score at least 50% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subject.And age of the candidate must not be more than 25 years.
For IITJEE you should have at least 60% marks In class 12th with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subject. You can apply only two times for the IITJEE examination.First time in the year you are appearing in the Class 12th final examination and Second time in the next succeeding year.

So first give the Improvement examination of CBSC and then apply for the examinations.

Don't be panic. Trust yourself. Make a good score at 60% above again.

AIEEE:
1. Physics, chemistry and maths necessary subject in 12th.
2. 17-25 General, 5 Yr age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and PD candidates .

IIT-JEE:
1. Physics, chemistry and maths necessary subject in 12th.
2. 60% in require General/OBC candidate and 55% if you are an SC/ST candidate.

i hope the message will let you morally down but there is a rule for the admission in the iit-jee and aieee that with backlog you can't take admission. but you can seat on the exam this will really help you to get a good idea and experience to you. have a good luck and best of luck.
