Can I appear in GATE exam after qualifying MSc in Chemistry?
If a condidate has qualification M.Sc by Chimistry,can he appear in gate exam ?

yes, you can definitely appear for GATE after your msc. GATE is basically an exam for higher degree like M.Tech or Phd and through this test, you are selected on the basis of your rank to different institutes for pursuing your higher studies.So, you can appear in it. Wish you a good luck.

Here is the GATE 2013 Eligibility Criteria. Now since you have an MSc degree, hence you are fully eligibl to apply for the GATE Exam. GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IIT's (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The GATE Score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate programmes (e.g. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes. ALL The Best |

GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers) is conducted by NCERT and IIT's to alote admission for MTec and ME coarse after graduation. Elligbility to appear for GATE(in respective stream) is. 1 A person must be graduate from recognised university. 2 Person apearing in last year may also apply. Folowing are some facts of GATE. 1 It consist of 1 paper on stream basis of 3hr. 2 Question in paper is objective type. 3 Scores of GATE are valid for 2years. |

Yaah you can appear in the GATE exam if you are Currently in the final year or already completed
you should submit the copy of certificates listed below if you Passed in the year 2013 or earlier 1) Degree Certificate/ Provisional Certificate/ 2) Course Completion Certificate if you are Expected to complete in 2014 or later 1) Certificate from Principal All the best |

The students who are having their degree or MSC or MCA or the students who are in the final year of their engineering are eligible to write gate exam.So you can appear in GATE after completion of your MSC in organic chemistry.You can write GATE in chemistry paper or other papers.Work hard and write the exam well.
