You can apply for IAS after graduation. Even though, you can apply for the exam by final year, you need to submit necessary documents at the time of interview. If you are confident in submitting required documents, then you can attend the test. Also your age must be less than 30 years. Within this time, you can attend the test at most 4 times.

The Union Public Service Commission which conducts the Civil Services Examination do allow the final year students to appear for the entrance exam. However there are some requirements.

You must complete the graduation and should be able to provide the necessary documents at the time of interview. If this is possible for you to do so then go ahead and appear for the Civil Services Examination.

The Preliminary Exam is conducted in May while the Main Examination is conducted in August. The interview takes place after that some time in September/October. You should be confident of providing documents at that time.

If you are not sure than I will suggest you to wait till next year to apply for the Indian Administrative Service. There is no point doing all the hard work and crack the Preliminary and Mains exam but unable to submit the documents towards the end.

IAS Eligibility

1. The candidate must be Indian citizen.

2. You should have Bachelor's degree to apply for IAS.

3. Final year students of graduation can also apply.

4. But they need to submit documents at the time of interview.

5. You should be 21 to 30 years old for this exam.

6. Three years relaxation is given to OBC.

7. Five years relaxation for SC/ST.

8. No physical criteria for IAS.

Selection Procedure

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Personal Interview
