Re: Can I appear for NET after passing M.Com?
You are eligible for the National Eligibility Test having completed any post graduation course. The list also includes Master of Commerce. Therefore the answer is Yes, you can appear for the National Eligibility Test.
However having completed post graduation is not sufficient enough. You will also have to meet the percentage criteria in the course to be eligible for the National Eligibility Test. If you could meet that as well then there should be no hurdle. National Eligibility Test is for JRF and lectureship. If your intention is JRF then age limit will also come into play which is not the case in lectureship. NET Eligibility 1. Nationality: It should be Indian. 2. Degree: Any post graduation course. 3. Marks: 55 percent are required for General/OBC. 4. Marks: 50 percent for SC/ST. 5. Final year students may also apply for NET. 6. But they should submit the degree in 2 years. 7. Subject: Commerce will be your subject for NET exam. 8. JRF Age Limit: 19 to 28 years for General. 9. Upper age is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 10. While 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. 11. Minimum age should be 19 to apply for lectureship. 12. While there is no upper age limit for the same. |

Re: Can I appear for NET after passing M.Com?
Yes surely you can apply for UGC NET if you have done M.Com from a recognized University.
You haven't mentioned your M.Com percentage so i must inform you that for UGC NET there is 55% marks required in Post Graduation. So if you have scored 55% marks in M.Com then only you will be eligible for UGC NET. Although reserved category (SC/ST/PWD) candidates will get relaxation of 5% marks and they need only 50% marks in Post Graduation for UGC NET. There is no upper age limit for Lecturership and you can apply for NET without worrying about the age. But if you want Junior Research Fellowships then you have to be below 28 years of age. UGC NET Pattern: Thus you must start your preparation in full flow for UGC NET so that you can crack it with a top score. For more information visit http://www.ugcnetonline.in |
