IPS stands indian police service which is conducted by union public service commision.

IPS EXAM ELIGIBLITY:-
*you have passed graduation from a recognized university in any subject.
*age limit is 21 to 30 years.
Final year students are also eligible.

IPS eligibility criteria:-

To give this exam you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. If you are appearing for the final year then also you are eligible to apply for this exam.

Your age should be between 21-30 years.

There is relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC category.

The selection procedure includes preliminary exam, main exam and personal interview.

At the most you can give this exam for four times.

Minimum height for male is 165 cm and for female it is 150 cm.
Chest size for male should be minimum 84 cm, expandable upto 5cm. In case of female it is 79cm, expandable upto 5cm.

Eye:- 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.

No, you can not apply for IPS being a student of B.E. 7th Semester.

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE , to become an IPS officer you have to appear and come out successful through Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM IPS:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National
-Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for the reserved candidate as per notification.
-Should have good Physical Fitness.

Regarding Minimum Physical standard :-

HEIGHT:-

For Male General candidate-165cm and Female-150cm
For SC/ST Male candidate-160cm and Female-145cm

CHEST:-

For Male-85cm and Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection of candidate is through three phases:-

IPS stands for Indian Police Service

This is one of the Civil Services in India and for joining in this force you need to write the entrance exam which is IPS Exam conduted by UPSC

As told that you are a B.E student you will be eligible for applying for the IPS Exam when you are completing the degree or when you are writing your final degree exam you can apply for the exam.

There are several other criteria's which you need to satisfy in order to apply for the exams.

> You need to be a citizen of India.

> There are age limits which are needed to be satisfied and they are that you need to have 21-30 years.

> For candidate of SC/ST they get get a relaxation and it is 21-35 years.The candidates of OBC should have 21-33 years.For Ex-servive men it is 5 years exception.
