Can I apply for NIMCET after B.Sc.(IT)?
I have done my +2 with pcm 72% frm cbse board.nw m pursuing my graduation with b.sc(IT) bt i don't have maths in graduation.i have phy,chem n IT as subject.m taking mca coachng frm infomaths in chd.i want to know that am i elglible for nimcet 2011 mca entrance?plz reply

you must securing 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST) in each of the examinations of,
(i) 12th level with Mathematics and (ii) Bachelor’s Degree of Full time 3 year duration from a recognized University With any one of 1. Mathematics 2. Statistics 3. Business Mathematics 4. Discrete Mathematics 5. Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science 6. Business Statistics 7. Computational Mathematics 8. Elementary Mathematics 9. Elementary Statistics as one of the subjects. so you are eligible for the exam. |

Dear Friend
The eligibility criteria for NIT MCA Entrance Test or NIMCET states that One should have passed 12th with Mathematics as one of the subject. One should have passed any bachelor degree of at least 3 year duration from a government recognized university and should have any one of the following subjects in graduation. Mathematics Elementary Mathematics Elementary Statistics Statistics Business Mathematics Discrete Mathematics Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science Business Statistics Computational Mathematics If your course contains any one of the above subject you can apply for the test otherwise not. NIMCET 2010 Eligibility
Indian Nationals securing 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC/ST) in each of the examinations of (i) 12th level with Mathematics and (ii) Bachelor’s Degree of Full time 3 year duration from a recognized University With any one of 1. Mathematics 2. Statistics 3. Business Mathematics 4. Discrete Mathematics 5. Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science 6. Business Statistics 7. Computational Mathematics 8. Elementary Mathematics 9. Elementary Statistics as one of the subjects. Those who have done Bridge Course in Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The percentage marks for (i) and (ii) above will be calculated on the basis of method used by respective Board / University. Students completing degree from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided their course is approved by UGC/AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India. if you have taken any bridge course that is you only way.. otherwise not |

In B.Sc IT if you are having one subject from the following then you are eligible. 1. Mathematics, Mathematics of business, Mathematics of discrete and elementary mathematics. 2. Computer Science of Mathematical foundation. 3. Statistics. All the best. |
