JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and the same examination is held by CBSE once every year for selection of candidates for admission in the Bachelor of technology and Bachelor of engineering course in the top centrally funded government colleges like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM and other top private engineering colleges.

--> For appearing in the same examinations, you must have the qualifications mentioned below :-

* You must have completed your higher secondary school degree or must be in the final year of same with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate from a recognized board of education. Students having equivalent degree are also eligible.

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years till the 1st October of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.

Now with your age being 17 years in the June of next year means that your age will be below the age limit for appearing in the JEE 2017 and hence you are not eligible for appearing in the same examination next year.

For more detailed information regarding the same examination you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.
