Can I do IAS exam after finishing BSc IT?

Yes,definitely you can go through the CSAT examination after completing your graduation course from a recognized University but your age must be between 21-30 years.
Through the score which you have secured in your CSAT examination(Prelims and Mains) you will be given specific trades which you have to select.If you scored well then you can choose any trade.If your scored above average then you may not be given IAS but you will be given either IFS,Indian P & T Accounts & Finance Service, Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), Indian Defence Accounts Service,.etc How to apply Online Applying You can apply for the examination either online or offline.You can apply for the examination online only when the notifications are released. Click here Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website.The link will be active when you need to send applications for a particular examination after the prescribed time the link will be disabled. Offline applying For applying offline the applications are available in the head/central post offices of your city throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 30/. Procedure of the examination The examination is split up into Prelims,Mains and then interview.Candidates selected in both the tests can move up to the interview level.Failure in the prelims will not allow you to move to the next level.Do not worry you can find syllabus of both the prelims and Mains in the below notification. |

yes you can apply for IAS exam after your b.sc , there are some criteria for this exam .. *The candidates should be a graduate from any discipline , from a recognize university, with more than 60% mark in aggregate. *the age limit is 22- 30 yrs, there is a relaxation for sc / st & obc candidates . *the attempts.. general- 4 times obc- 7 times sc/ st - unlimited. this exam is conducted by upsc for more details you can visit website http://www.upsc.gov.in good luck...... |

yes, you are eligible to write IAS exam after finishing BSc IT. but to write IAS exam following eligibility also required >>Nationality candidate must be a citizen of India. >>Age Limits: 21-30 years for general candidate. IAS exam conducted by UPSC.
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam - 1. Bachelor's degree from any recognized university . 2. Age limit = 21 to 30 years for general .(5 years relaxation for sc/st and 3 years relaxation for obc ) 3. Number of permissible attempt - 4 times for general .(7 times for sc/st) Exam fee = 100/- (no fee for sc/st) As you have completed Bachelor's degree ,you are eligible . Here I am providing the eligibility criteria to appear for the IAS exam: 1. You should have completed graduation from a recognized university. 2. Your age must be within 21-30 years. For OBC 2 years age relaxation and 5 years for SC/ST. There will be three rounds for selection: 1) Preliminary. 2) Main. 3) Personal Interview. Therefore you are very much eligible. All the best. |

yes you are eligible to do the exam . The basic qualification for the exam is a degree from any discipline no matters from which discipline you are from. you can choose a subject which maths your discipline and proceed with your preparations .All the best |
