Re: Can I eligible for SBI PO Exam having secured 49.95% in B.Sc and 68.4% in 12th class?
State Bank of India was the largest bank in India up to few weeks back when Indian Post Office decided to obtain the banking licence and became the largest bank.
State Bank of India has a large number of branches that are not just limited to India. SBI also have several branches overseas. In order to fill the vacancies, State Bank of India conducts its own entrance exam. The State Bank of India is perhaps the only Public Sector Bank to do so. Most of the government banks participates in the entrance exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. Now coming to your question, I am sorry but you are not eligible for the Bank PO entrance exam by either State Bank of India or even IBPS. You are not meeting the percentage criteria for both the banks. SBI Bank PO Eligibility 1. You should be Indian national. 2. Graduation must have been completed by you. 3. 65 percent marks in the graduation course. 4. SC/ST need 60 percent marks. 5. Must have computer operating skills to apply for Bank PO. 6. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for this exam. 7. There is 3 years relaxation in upper age for OBC. 8. The relaxation is 5 years if belongs to SC/ST. As you can see you are not eligible for the Bank PO entrance exam. However you can apply for the Bank Clerk entrance exam by State Bank of India or Institute of Banking Personnel Services. Both requires candidate to have completed graduation with no percentage criteria for Bank Clerk exam. |
