You may look at the cut for Jee mains for various category.

JEE Main 2013 Cutoff for Registration to JEE (Advanced) 2013 Categorywise:

Category Cut-off Score

Common Merit List (CML) 113

Other Backward Class (OBC - NCL) 70

Scheduled Caste (SC) 50

Scheduled Tribe (ST) 45

Dear NIT aspirant,

As you have scored 50 marks in JEE Mains Exam and you are in OBC Category.

So, there is very less chances for you to secure a seat in NIT.

As you know, cut off released earlier to qualify for JEE Advanced Exam was:

113 for General Candidates

70 for OBC

50 for SC

45 for ST

Very soon, JEE Mains is going to announce AIR of the Candidates.

You can view your AIR on the official site: http://jeemain.nic.in

If your AIR is good or within 1 lakh, then you may get seat in NIT.

Counselling will be done through CSAB http://csab.in

You will have to register yourself in CSAB site before 5 July.

Then, you will have to lock choices for colleges.
