I am pursuing my engineering 4rth year in JNTU afflitated college .My discipline is Computer science engineering and I have an aggregate of 80%.Can i get a government job with this qualification?If yes then what government jobs can i get?I am at fix now.

Yes you can get government job after scoring 80% in omputer Science and Engineering, and in government company you will place in computer related job in the government sector.

Of course you are eligible for both government and privet jobs .

Eligibility for Government jobs -

1. 60% marks in Graduation .
2. Graduation from any recognized university.
3. Age limit = 21 to 30 years.

You have scored very good percentage so there is lots of options for you.There are so much requirment and also so much scope for computer engineer.So dont worry about your future.But one thing also important that you should have also knowledge about your computer field so that it helps you to get a good job.If you have interest in public sector then its also very good field.Its a secure field.You can get a job by giving entrance paper of the perticular department or any competetion exam.

Yes you can surely get a suitable government job in any of the big metropolitan cities. but dear beside having B.tech degree in computer science with 80% you should also have good communication and personality skills and also have very good knowledge of computer languages.

Your percentage till now are very good and more than sufficient to apply for any government or private jobs.

Let me be very honest here to tell you that job opportunities for the Computer Science Engineers in government sector are very limited in comparison to Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics and Communication Engineers.

But it does not mean there are not job available for the Computer Science Engineers. There certainly are opportunities in the Public Sector Undertaking.

There are over 150 Public Sector Undertakings in India which requires Engineers from various branches including the Computer Science.

You can apply for job in these Public Sector Undertakings. Since the majority stake holders is the government, the jobs in these companies is as good as the government job.

It is important to remember that there is no common entrance exam for all the PSUs. Each has its own exam. You will have to check for the notification by PSUs and see whether there is opening for Computer Science Engineers or not.

Only apply if there is requirement of Computer Science Engineers. The exam pattern generally is written test and interview. In some PSUs its GATE score and interview. Instead of conducting their own written test, some PSUs ask for the GATE score.


PSU Eligibility

1. You should be Indian national.

2. Must have completed B.Tech degree from recognized college.

3. There should be no pending backlogs when applying.

4. Marks in B.Tech should be 60%.

5. There is requirement of GATE score in some PSUs.

6. GATE score should not be older than 2 years.

7. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

8. With 3 years relaxation for OBC.

9. And 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.
