As per your marks your rank may be above 1 lakh .

There is no chance for you to get in NIT's except with some strong special reasons like good reservation category like ST/SC or having HS quota can make your dream NIT but with unsatisfied branch.

anyways you have only chance if you are a reserved category student or having HS quota

HS quota : this quota is the students of home state of NIT for example the students of andhra pradesh can avail the hs quota of NIT warangal

if you belong to any of these category then you can get seat in good NIT's or else only option to see NIT is taking a drop

Yes taking a drop for year will not effect you much and also provides you the strong basics in Intermediate which will help you in the graduation .

so think up on it
many parents wont agree to this due to lack of knowledge but as per my suggestion doing engineering in normal college is really waste so think twice while taking a decision

your expected rank will be more than 1 lakh so there is a very less chance of yours to get into an nit except you have a state quota or SC/ST

Yes you can get a chance into an NIT . But you will not get good colleges. Otherwise if you get good college so, you will not get good subject. So take your decision after much thinking because this is your career.

well to secure admission in NITs you have to score

at least 25000/ rank

which is not under your scope as at 98 marks you will get

around 1 lakh rank

hence you should forget about NITs and and try next year or

take admission in private colleges.

not it is not possible to get NIT's because in AIEEE-2011 cutoff will be high for general category!

As said by the some coaching institute the cutoff for taking admission in good nit's is about 180(in general category) and you had much less marks in compare of it!

If you are in other category then please mention it!

to take admission in NIT is depending upon all india rank not on the marks.As you have told that you have secured 98 so i think your rank would be above above 1lakh, so you would not get chance in NIT.But if you belong from SC/ST or physically handicapped category then there is chance to get admission in NIT.

each and every nit closes around 28-30,000 air...thus...you need a rank within this range to secure a seat in any nit...

yes you can get good NIT after scoring 98 in AIEEE exam.it is very good score to get a good NIT.

the counselling will start from 26-30 june .only that students are eligible which contains following marks:-

48 marks for general
18 marks for sc/bc/st
