NIOS, National Institute of Open Schooling, is recognised by the central government and is equivallent to any other board of education.
It is the largest open schooling system in the world with an record enrolment of almost 1.5 million students in both secondary and senior secondary level.
So, indivuduals from NIOS are definitely eligible to write any entrance exam.

I have done my 10th class from nios.On one day i went to passport office for emigration check not required stamping but there passport officer said me that it will take more than six months or one year for the ecnr stamping but for any other board be it cbse or state board it is done only in one week.

I had a problem when I had applied for my passport giving them my national open school secondary education and they refused and told me it's open school. I wonder why?
