Sir, I am BN Harsha vardhan. I had just completed my intermediate in bipc group I have scored 903 marks. Can I have any opportunities to join in Indian defence academy? Sir so if have what type of opportunities are present? I need to pass any exams sir. Plzz say me sir...!!

Candidates passed 12th from any stream are eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

The eligibility to appear for examination is male candidate must have passed 12th and age between 16.5-19.5 years.

The examination is conducted in two stages and candidates after qualifying in both stages are eligible for final recruitment.

Other possible option to join defence service is to appear for NEET and AFMC for final selection and recruitment as doctor in service.

National Defence Academy exam is conducted by 12th join to different wings of Defence. The eligibility criteria for NDA exam is:

1. For Navy and Air Force, PCM subjects are necessary. BiPC candidates are eligible for Army only.

2. Age limit is 16.5-19.5 years.

3. Female and married male candidates are not eligible.

You can apply for NDA exam but you will have to clear mathematics paper.

Yes, you can join in defense academy. In defense academy there are 3 different courses Indian navy, Indian army and Air Force. You cannot join in navy and Air Force because the candidates should complete their 10+2 with physics and mathematics as main subjects from recognized board.

You can join in army and in army there will be only few posts for which all streams are eligible. You need to check for the post on their official website. The eligibility will be based on the post.

Having completed your Class 12th with PCB group you are eligible for joining Indian defense sector as a commissioned officer only in Indian Army wing as for other two wings i.e; Indian Air force and Indian Navy you must have studied Physics and Mathematics at your higher secondary level.

Further to join Indian Army as a defense officer you need to qualify NDA ( National Defense Academy ) Entrance Examination held by UPSC twice every year.

Also for appearing in the same examination you must be an unmarried Indian male candidate with your age lying within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. Also you must be physically fit.

Apart from defense officer option you can also become doctor in Indian Armed forces by pursuing MBBS degree course from AFMC ( Armed Forces Medical College ) by qualifying NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ).

Apart from these options you are also eligible for becoming tradesmen in Indian defense sector based on the vacancies in different fields by qualifying their respective Rally followed by Common Entrance Examination.

As far as you are concerned about Indian defense academy i.e; National Defense Academy ( NDA ) having completed your Class 12th with PCB group then I would like to let you know that you are eligible for joining only Indian Army as for other wings Indian Navy and Indian Air force your Class 12th academics must have Physics and Mathematics as main subjects.
