Can I join IITs on the basis of Diploma?
I have completed my Diploma in Computer Engineering and scored 63% in my finals. Can I get admission in B.Tech Computer Engineering or Information Technology in NITs?

Yes, you can join IITs on the basis of Diploma course and you are not eligible to join NIT. To get admission in IIT, you have to appear and qualify the JEE Main and Advanced entrance examinations. Your JEE Main examination rank will not be declared as Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for admission in NITs. After qualifying the JEE Advanced examination, you have to participate in the counseling process according to your examination rank to get admission for pursuing B.Tech course.

Yes, you can. You will need to qualify through JEE Main and JEE Advance and you can get admission for 1st year of 4 years degree course.
Many state or private colleges will admin diploma holder in second year directly but not the IITs or NITs. |
