can i pursue masters in Archeology after BCA?
i got 52%in bca and also complete mine mca in this year only........
i lost mine interest in it completely as i opt computers because of peer and parent pressure!!!
mine true calling is archaeology as i gt taste in history ( in 12th i got it as subject)
plz guide me..

Sorry you can not do masters in archeology because the first eligibility criteria for this course is that a candidate should be graduate related with this field. and he/she should have 60% in the graduation degree and you don not fulfill both the criteria.

Dear friend,
i am very sorry to say that a BCA student is not eligible forArcheology...
A BCA student can go for MBA/MCA...

you are eligible for After BCA you take the admission on master of Archeology.

Dear friend
As i know after the BCA you can not do the Master degree Archeology.For the Master degree in Archeology you should have bachelor degree related to its field.

If you have completed your BCA & MCA Course are you are interested to do Archeology Course then it will not be possible for you to do any degree related course from any recognized college/University as per your qualification.

However you can do Archeology course from your State Block Office.They issue admission for Archeological surveyor every year.You will have to consult your District Block Officer to do this course.This course is recognized from the state technical council board.You will able to do this course in very low cost.
You will also get Archeological Surveyor Certificate from the state government which will help you to get jobs in state government offices.

Eligibility required for Block Division Archeological Officer :

• Candidates minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 pass out in any discipline from recognized state board/central board/university.
• Candidates minimum marks in 10+2 should be 50%.

Eligibility required for Master degree Archeology Course :

• Candidates should have a Master degree in History/geography/Archeology/Anthropology from recognized university.
• Candidates minimum marks in Master degree course should be 55%.

If you are interested to do Bachelor degree course in Archeology course then you will have to first get a bachelor degree course in Either History/Geography from any recognized university.


The best option will be to do Bachelor degree course in History/geography through Distance Learning.You can do distance learning from your home and it within low fee structure.Some of the best Distance Learning Institutes through which you can do this course are :

2. Sikkim Manipal University.
3. Punjab Technical University.
4. Nalanda Open University.
