To get in to Air Force you have to give CDS exam. The "Combined Defence Services" Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission.

If you satisfy the above mentioned conditions you can apply for the CDS exam.

Your age must be between 19 to 24 years.
Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam.
Final year candidates can also apply for the CDS exam. There is no restriction of percentage in graduation to apply for CDS exam.
You must be an Indian.
You should be mentally and physically fit in all respect.

You can apply for CDS exam through online application http://upsconline.gov.in

Hello Dear,

To join Air Force through UPSC is the best way. there are two w\exam which is conducted by UPSC.

NDA National Defence Academy(NDA) Exams.
CDS CDS stands for Combined defense services;

Both exam is held twice in a year. but the eligibility criteria of both exam are different. NDA exam are only for 12th passed student where as CDS is only For Gradudate.

Eligibility Criteria For CDS is
candidate should be completed graduation with subject MATHS and PHYSICS, candidate who are appearing final year exam are also eligible
Age should be 19 to 25 years
candidate must be passed/appeared in 12th with a govt. recognized university.
Age must be in between 16.5-19 years.
candidate must be an unmarried male.

U.P.S.C conduct two exam for Air Force:-
> National Defence Academy

> Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
> Age limit should be above 16.5 year and below 19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

Eligibility criteria for C.D.S exam:-
> Pass Graduation with any stream from recognized University.
> Age should be above 19 year and below 24year.
