GATE examination is conducted by the management of IIT college for the admission in the M.Tech course in maximum no of colleges.

The below given educational qualification only allow to sit for GATE Exam .

If you have Bachelor degree in engineering/Technology/Architecture OR Master degree holder in any branch of science/mathematics/statics/computer application then you are applicable for GATE Exam.

So there is no restriction , to obtain degree from computer science.

The final year student are eligible to apply for GATE examination.There are no age limit and no. of attempt in the GATE examination.

Study of CS is not a restriction for attending GATE. B.Tech holders in any stream can apply. M.Sc graduates in streams like Electronics or CSE are also preferred for admission. There is no upper age limit. No restriction is there in the number of exam attempts also.
