CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services examination and After clear the CDS Examination candidates can join the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy, Air Force Academy And Officers Training Academy (OTA).

>> But you are form B.A Stream, then you are only eligible to apply for IMA/OTA.

Because to apply for IMA/OTA you need to complete your Graduation in any discipline form a recognised University.

If you are Interested to apply for IMA Post, then your age should between 19 to 24 years and for OTA Post your age should between 19 to 25 years.

>> So Please don not worry If you are Interested to make your Career Bright in Defense Services then Please Apply for CDS Examination and after BA you are eligible for CDS Examination.

The examination was held 2 times in a year - CDS (I) and CDS (II).

If you are Interested, then you can apply for this examination Online after Declaration of the Notification, The Notification of CDS (I) 2012 Examination was going to be declared in October 2011.

CDS stands for cmbined defence service .This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year .
Eligibility criteria for CDS are as follows :-
1.A candidate should be graduate in any discipline .
2.A candidate should have atleast 50%in graduation.
3.Age limit for Army 19-24 years
Navy 19-22 years
Air force 19-23 years
4.A candidate should be physically fit .
So my friend you are eligible for army only because other two forces requires graduation in technical field .As you said that you have completed BA then you can apply in army only.

CDS is Combine Defence Academy and this exam is conducted by UPSC and is held twice in a year.

CDS gives opprtunity for candidates to join in Indian Army,Navy and Air force.

Indian Military academy:

Unmarried male candidates with 19-24 years of age are eligible.

Naval academy:

unmarried male candidates with 19-22 years of age are eligible.

Air force academy:

Unmarried male candidates with 19-23 years of age are eligible.

Officer's training academy:

Unmarried or married male candidates with 19-25 years of age are eligible.

Yes , you are eligible in CDS exam because you have just completed your graduation.


Educational Qualification:
Candidate must a have a graduation degree from any field from a recognized university.

Students in the final year of such courses can also apply.

Age Limit:

For Indian Military academy - 19 to 23 years.

For Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years.

For Officer's Training Academy - 19 to 25 years.

For Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years.

Yes, a person can give for CDS exam after doing B.A Maths. The exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service commission).
* You should complete graduation.
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force.
