Yes, you are eligible to apply for CDS after B.Tech.
CDS-COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to:- INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY INDIAN AIR FORCE ACADEMY INDIAN OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years of age with good physical fitness as prescribed, can apply for CDS. As you are a B.Tech Graduate you are eligible to apply for all the four wings of CDS as the candidate having Graduation without Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are not eligible to apply for Indian Naval and Air Force Academy. C.D.S. - Combined Defense Services. Generally C.D.S. consist of the following types : 1. Indian Army 2. Indian Navy 3. Indian Air force. Eligibility Criteria :- 1. Age :: 19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive). 2. Educational Qualification :: Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 3. Physical Standard :: i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg iii.) yes graduation is the primary qualification for writing CDS exam.
it is conducted by UPSC.after exam if you are in merit list you will be called to further selection process like interview,physical test. Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2012 last date for receipt of application:02.06.2012. date of exam and duration:16.09.2012 ( Sunday )[1 Day] (i) For IMA and OTA : Degree of a recognised University. For IMA 19-24 years as on 01.07.2012 ii. For Naval Academy : B.Sc. ( with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering. For NA 19 - 22 years as on 01.07.2012 iii. For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognised University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering. YOU can join INDIAN DEFENCE through CDSE exam.
Minimum Eligibility [*]you should be Unmarried Male [*]your Age should be in between 19 to 23 Years- ( Age limit may vary for Army -Navy and Air Force) [*]you should be Graduate in any discipline for Army [*]if you are Science stream graduate than you can apply for Army , Navy and Air Force. Yes you are eligible for CDS exam being a B.Tech graduate if your age lies in between 18-24 years. CDS i.e Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II . CDS II notification was already released . To apply for this examination , you need to complete the graduate degree . If you are completed graduate then you are eligible to apply .
