The Combined Defense Service Examination is conducted for the following:
Indian Army
Indian Air Force
Indian Navy

An engineering graduate is eligible to apply for any of the three defense forces of India. For Indian Air Force, graduates in any discipline are eligible, provided he has studied Physics and Mathematics in the +2 level.
For Indian Army, there is no such requirements and graduates from any discipline are eligible irrespective of the combination of subject he had in the +2 level.
For Indian Navy, the aspirant must have graduated with a B.Sc degree or Engineering.
The minimum eligible age for all the three branches of the Defense Force of India is 21 years but as far as the maximum age limit is concerned, it varies.

Indian Army - 24 years
Indian Air Force - 23 years
Indian Navy - 22 years

Yes you are eligible for the CDS examination. Combined defence service examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted twice in a year. This is a combined defence exam conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Air force, Army and Navy. The eligibility required for this examination is given below:

Education Qualification
For the combined defence service examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible for this examination.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

Age Limit
Candidate applying for the Combined defence service examination should have age between:
Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy 19-23 Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years

CDS-COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to:-

INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY
INDIAN AIR FORCE ACADEMY
INDIAN OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years of age with good physical fitness as prescribed, can apply for CDS.

As you are a B.Tech Graduate you are eligible to apply for all the four wings of CDS as the candidate having Graduation without Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are not eligible to apply for Indian Naval and Air Force Academy.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview by SSB.

C.D.S. - Combined Defense Services.

Generally C.D.S. consist of the following types :

1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air force.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/6 in another

yes graduation is the primary qualification for writing CDS exam.
it is conducted by UPSC.after exam if you are in merit list you will be called to further selection process like interview,physical test.

Dear friend your eligible for CDS exam, which is conducted by UPSC
age limit is 19yrs-27yrs depending upon the type of entry.
when you clear CDS exam you will be called for SSB/SSC camp of duration 8-12days, here apitude test, group discussion, group task, medical test, etc
when you clear these exams thn on all India merit you will be selected.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year in CDS I and CDS II .

After cleared this examination candidates are eligible to Join -

IMA (Indian Military Academy)
OTA (Officers Training Academy)
Naval Academy
Air- Force Academy.

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : You must have graduation degree from recognized university .
