sir please tell me that what Opportunities do i have to make my carrer in geography in India.

You can start after giving 12th board exam. B.A(hons) in geography is the course in the undergraduate level and after that you can do the Master's courses in different specializations.
You can join in the Govt sector and as well as in the private sector in different job profiles like: cartographer, surveyor, regional planner,weather inspector etc..

i was a student of geography honours under calcutta university.I completed my 1st and 2nd year from there and was suppose to clear my 3rd year in the year 2009 but could not do so due to some issues.Now i have got scopes to complete my studies once again but as i m working in bpo so it is not possible for me to be a regular student so how can i complete my degree in geography honours.Can i do it from any distance university like EIILM is it possible.i was a Bsc geography hons student in calcutta university plz suggest me.

The geography includes three branches as follows :
1. Physical geography
2. Human geography
3. Environmental geography

In geography or these branches, you can apply for BA (HONS) geography or BSc. geography and for Masters also after 12th and have a great opportunity in various jobs and also go for research scholar as follows :

GIS, satellite technology,astronomy, cartography, pedology , climatology etc.

Sir, I belong low family.my mother is a private teacher so I not afford another high collage and their education I am a complete my Post graduation by geography sub. What are the options course and jobs opportunity in the field of geography.

I have done B.Sc. Physics honours, and after that I have completed my MCA. I have a total 8 years of experience. But I think I am not much interested in computer science as I see there is so much frequent changes in the job profile as the project goes on changing. I have an interest in Geography.
