career regarding nano technology

its an interesting and slowly developing field in India,
but i will advice to look for job opportunities in foreign countries there the scope is much more than India

In India nanotech field is not as much organised as it is in foreign countries .you can also try out in other fields such as civil and mechanical engineering

You can join in the courses after doing graduation with PCM/PCB combinations.

At graduate level,there is no institute that offers courses on nanotechnology...So you have to start your career in this field after completion of your graduation.

You can join the R&D sector also if you want to do higher studies in this course..

Chances are better in abroad...

m.tech (nanotech) student favorite work place is to work in biological field and also in developing Nano microchips for upcoming advance computers,and in Industrial applications,such as production of golf balls,biofeuls,in pharmaceutical companies etc.

it has a wide scope u know, in all the fields where you want to exploit molecular level synthesis nanotechnology provides the solution.......I believe that it's more in the medical field than anything. I heard recently that they're onto something with destroying cancer cells. It's definitely reinventing the medical field and its effectiveness. I'm pretty sure researchers are implementing it into prosthesis.

anybody with maths or bio can choose nanotech... its not at all essential to have a good command on biology.basically understanding of physics is necessary which can be learnt during the course. If you want to choose just go for it ..a new era is waiting for you :)
