Qualifications needed to study Nanotechnology? Institutes offering Nanotechnology course in Maharashtra or anywhere in India?
hi,
i want to know the qualification needed for the admission in nanotechnology. i have passed 12th.Which institutes are there for studying nanotech in maharashtra or in india . plz help me. thanking you. |

For pursuing a career in the filed of Nanotechnology, the aspirant must have a post graduate (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)qualification in the subject. i.e they must have an M.Tech or M.Sc. degree in Nanotechnology.
There are many institutions which have started courses in nanotechnology; * Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore; * Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; * National Physical Laboratory, Delhi; * Solid State Physics Laboratory, Delhi; * National Chemical Laboratory, Pune; * Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh; * Defence Materials Store Research & Development Organizations, kanpur * Indian Institutes of Technology at Kanpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Delhi and Mumbai. if u have completed or pursuing B.Sc. (H) in Botany/Chemistry/Electronics/Physics/Zoology B.Sc. (Program)in Life Sciences/Applied Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Applied Physical Sciences/Electronics B. Tech. and B.Sc. (General) then u can go to Maitreyi College is affiliated to University of Delhi and it is located in the North Campus of Delhi. It is the only college in Delhi which offers post graduate Diploma in Nanotechnology.The duration of the course is one year and the fee for PG Diploma in Nanotechnologyis Rs. 12,000 for the entire program Maitreyi College is inviting applications for the admission in post graduate Diploma in Nanotechnology for the session 2010-2011 Eligibility to apply for PG Diploma in Nanotechnology To apply for the course candidate must have 50% aggregate in any of these courses - B.Sc. (H) in Botany/Chemistry/Electronics/Physics/Zoology B.Sc. (Program)in Life Sciences/Applied Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Applied Physical Sciences/Electronics B. Tech. and B.Sc. (General) The candidates who have appeared for the final year examination of the above courses can also apply forpost graduate Diploma in Nanotechnology at Maitreyi College How to apply for PG Diploma in Nanotechnology Application forms for PG Diploma in Nanotechnology can be obtained from the College office on payment of Rs. 100 in cash or by Demand Draft in favour of Principal, Maitreyi College payable at New Delhi on all working days from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Application forms for PG Diploma in Nanotechnology can be downloaded from the website http://maitreyi.du.ac.in in that case requisite fee of Rs. 100 can be submitted at the time of submitting application forms. I have completed my post graduation in Applied Microbiology and applied for Ph.d in Microbiology.They were offering Nanotechnology as one of the topics .My Question is ....
Can I complete the Ph.d on this topic? Previously I am not familiar with this,will i be able to cope up.Please advise |

I want to do research in Nanotechnology later and now would like to study B.E electronics. Am I on a right track? Will studying electronics engineering help me later in my research.

sir,i am a studant of Bsc final year (biotech.) i am instratead in Msc in nanotech. or nanomedicin or nanobiotech. but i am confused about it's schop in india.
in 12th ciass i have PCB gorup not a math.please give me detail about it. |

For Nanotechnology,candidate must have a post graduate degree i.e. M.Tech or M.Sc.
