Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
Firstly, both the DU courses are good. Now, coming to the prospects/scope, both the fields are promising. After completing Masters in Chemistry you can get jobs in different chemical/agro-chemical, pharmaceutical industries, etc. Likewise, PG in Microbiology will open the doors for promising careers as microbiotechnologists in research labs, hospitals, etc. Teaching is teh other option in both the fields. So, the chief criteria for you will be to judge your aptitude as this will help you choose the ideal field. Thereafter your hardwork and your ability to apply your knowledge for practical purposes will see you well-established in life.

Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
dear friend,
no one can say which one is better than other. But now a days the scope of micro biology is increasing very much, but still in India there are less scope than Chemistry. So, if you want to go abroad then you should choose micro biology otherwise you can choose chemistry. But as these two are from two different fields, so you can choose any one as per your choice. Just choose as per your interest, because both have demand in industry. good luck. |

Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
According to me both the subjects are very good. But you should choose the field you like most whether it is M.Sc chemistry or M.Sc microbiology.
In case of Chemistry, you can get job in food industry, pharma industry adn chemical industry, etc. But according to my view M.Sc microbiology is very fascinating subject dealing with the living entity that u can't see them. You will enjoy the subject....along with you can get job in research field, pharma, food, dairy and beverages industry. You should choose the subject of your interest and then you will get job of your own wish. Good Luck. |

Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
Well Dear, don't be so confused about these courses. Because there's a large scope of both Chemistry and Microbiology. You should first clearout that what you want to do. Out of these two, in which subject you are more strong and on which you have a good command. Then decide, you'll definitely succeed, I'm sure.
If you want to go for M.sc. Chemistry then you can get a job in Chemial Industry, Pharma Industry, food Industry etc. And if you go for M.sc. Microbiology then you can get job in research field, food dairy, pharma etc. Take a time, a single decision can change the criteria's. Wish you all the very best. |

Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
Dear friend,
I think both subjects are much demanding subjects now a days. It totally depends in which subject you have more interest. If you are interested in chemistry then there are so many scope like teaching faculty job private farm agro industries, pharmatutical industries ,govt psu etc.If you choose micro biology you also get teaching faculty job, biological research job, nurshing home, govt hospital etc. But according to my point of view chemistry honours is more better than micro biology. So don't worry. Thank you .good luck. |

Re: Chemistry honors or Microbiology honors? Which one is better?
Deciding between Chemistry Honors and Microbiology Honors depends on your personal interests, career goals, and the opportunities available in each field. Both fields have their own unique aspects and potential career paths. Here are some points to consider:
Chemistry Honors: Chemistry Honors focuses on the study of chemical compounds, reactions, and their properties. It covers various sub-disciplines such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and more. Chemistry Honors can lead to a wide range of career opportunities. Graduates can work in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, materials science, environmental science, and research and development. If you have a strong interest in understanding the composition, structure, and properties of matter at the molecular level, Chemistry Honors can be a suitable choice. It provides a solid foundation in chemistry principles and laboratory techniques. Microbiology Honors: Microbiology Honors focuses on the study of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. It involves the study of their structure, genetics, physiology, ecology, and their impact on human health, agriculture, and the environment. Microbiology Honors can lead to career opportunities in fields such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food industry, research and development, environmental monitoring, and public health. If you have a strong interest in studying microorganisms, their interactions, and their role in various fields, Microbiology Honors can be a suitable choice. It provides a solid foundation in microbiology principles, laboratory techniques, and research methodologies. Ultimately, the "better" choice depends on your personal interests and career aspirations. Consider your passion for each field, the type of work you envision yourself doing, and the future job prospects in the areas that interest you the most. It can be helpful to explore the course curriculum, career options, and job market trends for both Chemistry Honors and Microbiology Honors to make an informed decision. |
