CMJ University is recognized by UGC.

CMJ University offers all Courses on regular basis only through main campus at Meghalaya.

C M J University is recognized by University Grant Commission as a Private University and candidates possessing a degree from the same are considered eligible to write entrance
examinations like National Eligibility Test for Lectureship, Examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Examinations conducted by Staff Selection Commission,
Common Admission Test, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering etc.

However, the programs offered by the university through distance mode are not recognized by Distance Education Council of India and neither the technical programs offered through
regular mode are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
