im in final year B.E and im interested in doing my M.E next year but i dont have so much marks with me. i have university certificate in sports and i want to join in sports quota which colleges can i try and will i get seat in any colleges under anna university chennai

In sports quota the admission in anna university the admission is based on points alloted for inter national level,national level, state, district level as well as republic day sports. The points are constant but vary according to the popularity of the game. Based on the points admission is done. There is a very big list of colleges affiliated to the anna university in wich sports quota is present. You caan have a look at the points in the university prospectus. But i have a doubt if you wil get a seat through the sports quota as there are only a 100 seats in it.. You can try for sports quota anyways as athletics is a very popular field and as points are more in it and hope for the good.

Admission through the sports quota is based on points. There are many colleges affiliated to the anna university tat offer seats in the sports quota. There are only 100 seats offered in this quota.
The points for every level is mentioned in the college prospectus. Based on the popularity of the game the points may differ. You need not worry about the colleges as all the colleges under the anna university are very good.
Based on the points a rank list is prepared and the students are asked to appear for the counselling. During the counselling based on their rank list they are given a list of colleges they can choose from.
During the counselling the marks you hav secured is not taken into consideration. Only sports quota points are seen.
Yes scholarships are awarded to meritirious candidates in their respective colleges too.

Yes, You can get.. there are Several Methods to get in to Top colleges.
I think Sports Quota Doesnt worth much for PG Courses .

#4.You can try Preparing for GATE
#2.Apply for TANCET or
#3.Go for Self Financed management Seats
#4. or Do PG in a Deemed University, like VIT, SASTRA, SRM and BS ABDUR RAHMAN universities,[ They Do value ur Sports Cert and also Cost u very less for Studies]

the 3rd & the 4th one Doesnt Cost much.., Go for it.

Yes,you can get a seat under Anna University Chennai.You have university certificate in sports,so you should go for certificate verification to Anna University Chennai

You can apply for:-

1)Tamil Nadu Engineering

2)Gujarat University

3)RJ Tibrewal College

4)Commerce Colleges

5)LJ college

There will be 12 seats under Anna University Chennai and the remaining 488 seats will be in:-

1)Govt. Aided and Private engineering colleges and

2)Anna University of Technologies

You can apply for Sports quota, you should attach the special reservation form for Sports with TNEA application form and a demand draft for Rs. 100/- and copies of the relevant certificates.
