Dear,

LLB that is bachelor of law is a 3 year course that is pursued by graduates only. You can complete your graduation from any stream. Bar council of India recognize all law colleges in India and abroad. All law colleges whether giving distance learning or regular LLB course are recognized by Bar council of India.

LLB Eligibility:

Bachelor degree Course is the Basic Qualification to apply for LLB Course . The Minimum Percentage of marks is differ from College to College . Every LLB Institution requires Minimum 50% Percentage of marks . So, If you score more than 50% Percentage of marks than definitely you may get admission for LLB Course .

There isn't a single distance mode LLB degree which is recognized by the Bar Council of India. If you want to become lawyer then please forget about correspondence/distance mode LLB course.


The Bar Council of India has made it pretty clear that it will not recognize any distance education degree. What this means is that while you may obtain the degree offered through distance mode, you can not practice in the court as the lawyer.


To practice in a Indian court, you must register with bar council of India. Now this is impossible if Bar Council of India does not recognize your degree. You will be rejected.


Therefore you have only two options.

BA LLB

LLB


The BA LLB is 5 years course since it includes a bachelor degree as well. LLB is 3 years course but can be taken only after completing graduation where BA LLB can be taken after 12th. If you have completed 12th then prefer BA LLB since it will save you one year of academic study.



BA LLB Eligibility

1. Must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board.

2. At least 50 percent marks in 12th.

3. SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks.

4. The age limit for BA LLB is 20 years.

5. SC/ST are given 2 years relaxation for BA LLB.




LLB Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks.

3. SC/ST need 40 percent marks.

4. The maximum age limit is 30 years for LLB.

5. Age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST.
