Can I apply for NIFT if I am a commerce student and I have not taken maths and apply for financial accounting instead of maths? Can I give the entrance exam of nift ?

Yes you can apply for NIFT exam being a commerce student but your eligible for doing only B.Design course and not B.F.Tech course.

There are two courses offered after passing NIFT exam, they are B.Design and B.F.Tech

The eligibility for B.Des course is
1. You must pass 12th in any stream from a recognised board of education.
2. Even diploma students with 10+3 or 10+4 pattern of study also can apply.

The eligibility for B.F.Tech course is
1. You must pass 12th with maths, physics and chemistry stream from a recognised board of education.
2. Even diploma students with 10+3 or 10+4 pattern of study also can apply.

For applying the exam your age must have crossed 23 years.

Yes, you can apply for NIFT entrance exam for B.Design course. Candidates who have completed their intermediate in any stream from a recognized board are eligible for this exam. But if you want to get admission in Bachelor of Fashion Technology then you are not eligible. Because for this course candidates must have completed their intermediate with PCM subjects. Thanks

Yes, you are eligible to apply NIFT entrance exam. Because the eligibility criteria to appear in NIFT entrance exam says that the candidate must have either passed out of 12th standard from any recognized school or must posses GCE.

Yes you are eligible to pursue NIFT without Maths also.
There is no any special procedure followed to get admitted. You need to qualify entrance examination which is conducted by every college before admission. But in some of the colleges there are direct admission also. It depends on you which path you will choose either direct admission or after qualifying entrance test.

For B. Design Programme:

12th standard from a recognized board or national board of education

You must have studied a minimum five subjects under National Open School Education

Candidate holding diploma under 10+3 or 10+4 pattern as recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.

For B.Tech Programme:

12th standard with Physical, Chemistry and Physics

Candidates holding diploma under 10+3 or 10+4 pattern as recognised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) or State Board of Technical Education

Candidate must not be more than 23 years.

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology and it is a premier institute for fashion designing courses.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for NIFT entrance examination to get admission in the fashion designing course.

B.Des ( Bachelor in Designing ) - The eligibility to pursue course is that candidate must have passed 12th in any discipline from a recognised board. The upper age limit to appear for examination is 23 years as on 1st October of year of appearing for examination.

B.F.Tech - For pursuing the course it is necessary to have 12th with PCM. So, you are not eligible for it.

Yes. You are eligible only for the course B.Design without maths in (10+2), but not eligible for B.F.Technology. NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) conducts entrance exams for various UG and PG courses in Fashion Technology.

- Create your Login ID and Password.
- Fill the NIFT entrance exam form.
- Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
- Pay NIFT application fee.
- Print the application and keep it for your reference.

For NIFT bachelor program eligibility criteria is

Yes, definitely. Candidate can apply for NIFT entrance exam even if he/she had not passed 10+2 with Mathematics subject.

Commerce candidates are eligible for NIFT entrance exam.

To be eligible for NIFT entrance exam, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks.

Then only, he/she can appear for NIFT entrance exam which is a gateway to graduation courses from NIFT.
