I'm Dr.praneeth and i am from hyderabad.I want to take the dnb exam on december and want to join a good hospital in a city like mumbai or even in hyderabad in Niims which is very a good hospital.but every year these big hospitals give seats only to the very rich n influenced doctors based on recommendations.this time i've herad that the admissions are based only on merit.is it true?

First of all, while preparing for such exams you shouldn’t be listening to such discouraging things that people say. There may be a few candidates with high recommendation. But if that was the criteria for admission, there wouldn’t be a need for such a test. So concentrate on your preparation.

YES.counselling is based on merit but it does not matter more if you have a good percentage.

Next DNB CET exams will be in the month of June.

is it that this time candidates from last 4 sessions can attend the counseling along with the candidates who appeared in exam held in dec 2011.

counselling has been delayed due to various reasons but will be conducted before march 31st. around 1500 seats...AIPGEE better? who knows.things aint lookin pretty good wit DNB. candidates from past 2 yrs n th last dec session have applied for counselling...so u can imagine wat wil b the condition!!!!!!!

You have secured good marks and there is high possibility of getting what you desired,as there are about 72 seats in Radiodiagnosis,in jan 2011 session.
Try for Institutions at Delhi,Mumbai and South India,as the passing rate from Eastern region is not very good atal.

as per the list given by NBE in their Website the number of seats in the Jan,2011 session is around 1260.

as all know there is some stay order by High Court at New Delhi on CET Counselling.Anyway it will be withdrawn soon.
Almost 7124 candidates have appeared in last CET,Dec 2010.
And as per NBE wbsite no of seats are approximately 1250 for Jan,2011 session.

i got 195 in dnb cet dec 2011 . can anyone tel me if i can get derm seat in south india. i want to know if its worth to attend counselling with this low mark as i am from far south. thank you....
