i'm sruthi, doing my 2nd yr BE(ECE)......
i need to know wat r al d courses i shud do to get a gud placement in core/IT company.....

do not worry. You are in 2nd year only. If you want to have a good placement then do not keep any backlogs (i.e.kts). Try to score first class in each semester and most important is absorb as much knwoledge as you can because that is what gets checked at personal interview. Do internship in vacations in any it company and learn as many languages as you can i.e. Java, Linux , c,c++ etc. Java is most important amongst them

You can do those courses which can make your grip in languages more tight like-
courses on JAVA, c++ or you can do .net .

Companies like TCS has huge requirement in networking sector ,so you can do CCNC,CCNP etc.............

see, IT and core both are different field , if you are interested to get a IT jobs then you must do software language courses like

1.JAVA.

2.J2ME.

3.J2EE.

4.NETWORKING.

5.Oracle.

6.SAP.

etc.

Other wise you can do given below core training like

1.CCNA course.

2.VLSI.

3.embeded course.

4.telecommunication courses.

etc.

you can also go for the sun certification for java.

You have so much time.So you should have the knowledge about your field.Its

help you to get a good placement.So clear your basics.Also try to strong your

aptitute.Its good for you to getting a placemennt.

If you are interested in It company then you should have command on the

basic languages like C or C++ and you have to choose any perticular language

like java or .net.These are very good programming language and so many mnc

companies have requirment for a good java programmer.So do hard work.

As you are from ECE stream then you will get huge opportunity to get a job after completion of B.E course..
For Core companies you can go for courses like-

1.Embedded system

2.VLSI

3.Microcontroller based training.

For getting a job in software sector then you can go for courses like-

1.Networking

2.JAVA

3.J2EE

4.VB.NET

etc..

So, try to do these courses , it will help you to get a job..

hii 'm keerthi i have completed msc electronics .. Now thinking to
