You should qualify in IIT JEE exam to become a Astronaut. After qualifying IIT JEE exam you should go for B.Tech course in Aeronautical Engineering.
If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT-JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. You can apply consecutively for 3 years. Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years. |

Re: Which courses should I do to become an astronaut?
Hi.............,
In India astronauts are selected from ISRO. If you are astronaut at ISRO you can get a chance to go to space. Candidates who have a technical background get chance to apply for astronaut .Non technical students can not apply for this position. Thus you must be a graduate either by doing engineering or biological science or physical science or maths. You can visit the site official site of ISRO and can apply for the opening post even. Thanks |
