Eligibility for CA CPT June 2011 Paper Pencil Test
Eligibility requirements to appear in CA CPT June 2011. (a) A candidate shall be eligible to appear in Common Proficiency Test CPT June 2011 to be held on 19th June 2011, if he has: (i) Either passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) or its equivalent or must have appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) or its equivalent of a recognized Institution, and (ii) Registered for CPT Course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before 1st April 2011. (b) A candidate who is already registered for Professional Education-I Course with Board of Studies of ICAI and switched over to CPT course on or before 1st April 2011 will also be eligible to appear in June CPT 2011. Criteria for Passing the Common Proficiency Test a) A candidate shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the Common Proficiency Test if he/she obtains a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT (Examination). b) It is clarified that there is no requirement of securing minimum passing marks in a subject/section of CPT examination. c) There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. 1/4 (One Fourth) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. d) Any fraction of mark in aggregate will be rounded off to the next full mark. It is clarified that there is no provision for improvement of result CPT examination in the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. Therefore, such students who have once passed the CPT examination are not eligible to apply/appear afresh/again in the CPT examination. All the Best... |

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry Stage test for Chartered Accountancy Course.
THE exam pattern consists of 4 hours of two papers and each of 2 hours.. Syllabus session I Section A consists of Fundamental of Accounting of 60 marks Section B consists of Mercentalie Law of 40 marks. session II Section A consists of General Economics of 50 marks Section B consists of Quantitative of 50 marks. you need to get at least 55% in overall session and 30% in each subject......to crack cpt.. Education eligibility:-- minimum 12 th pass or even graduates are too allowed.. |

CPT Syllabus Pattern
No. of papers: One Marks:- 200 Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks ) Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks ) Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks ) Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks ) 55% marks should score including all the section,then only you will be qualifying. |

DEAR FRIEND,
YOU SHOULD APPEAR FOR CPT EXAM WHICH WILL BE HELD ON 19th JUNE,2011 YOU SHOULD SCORE 50% MARKS FOR SELECTION.......TOTAL MARKS IS 200 and you need to get minimum of 100 FOR SELECTION..... THE EXAM IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND IT REQUIRES A LOT OF PRACTICE PATTERN: 1.)THERE WILL BE 2 papers of two hours each paper I: FUNDAMENTAL OF ACCOUNTING-60 marks Mercentalie Law - 40 marks. paper II:General economics and QUANTITAVE OF 50 MARKS each you must have passed +2 exam or you should be appearing in the same in the same year.... so start its preparation..its very competitive and you have to work a lot.......solve as many sample papers you can... best of luck |

Criteria for CPT is as under:
1.Either passed senior secondary examination(10+2 exam) or its equivalent. 2.Registered for CPT course with board of studies of ICAI on or before 1st April,2011. 3.A candidate who has already registered for professional educational-I course with board of studies of ICAI and switched over to CPT course are also eligible to appear. |

CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013 Forms for this exam would be filled in October 2013 Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections: Fundamentals of accounting Mercantile LAWS General Economics Quantitative Aptitude All the questions are asked in objective mode only Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer. CPT-Common Proficiency Test The CPT exam is of objective type paper and the paper is set for 200 marks.To qualify in the CPT exam you need to score atleast 50% marks in the CPT exam. To appear for CPT exam you must have completed 12th from a recognized board.This CPT exam will be conducted two times in every year as a entrance into the CA course. After qualifying in the CPT exam,you can go for IPCC and after IPCC you will be able to go for final CA course. ALL THE BEST |
